1~2 Simple Kind Of Life

Week 2

Day 1

I wake up, do laundry, eat and garden. The usual now. Then I take Father down to the water to do some fishing but it's a bust. Neither of us catch anything. I'm bummed about but I did love being outdoors by the water. 

We get home and I get a delivery. Some honey and beeswax sold at the elixir store. It brings out bank account up to $1, 043. That's the most money we've had since Father sold our old house, but I know it won't last long. 

Father wants to go visit the Curleys. We go over there and I actually talk to old man Curley this time. He shakes my hand and offers to let me tend his garden. It needs weeded. And in return I can have what's on the plants. 

I take the deal. I plan to plant most of what I harvest and save the rest to sale. 

We head home, I find the toilet clogged. I unclog it, clean the bathroom and head for bed. 

Day 2

I wake up while it's still dark to do the laundry. I then buy two planters. Once Fall comes gardening outside will be iffy. This way I can still have plants to harvest so we won't be without something to sell for money. 

This sends out bank account back to $983 but I don't care this time. It's a good investment. I plant tomatoes in both and that weird voice tells me I've learned my gardening skill. I find the voice weirder than the little girl ghost.

I go outside to check on Father and find he's hand another fainting spell. I also see another ghost in Father's rocking chair. So we have more than one. If he helps out like the little girl, I'll be happy to have him around. 

I got to check on my orange tree when Father comes over.

"We need to get rid of the ghosts!" Father yells. He's always been a bit of a coward.

"Eh, I like them." I tell him.

I plant two apples in the ground. That weird voice tells me I'm at Gardening level 2. Where the heck is it coming from?!

I go inside to get the laundry and the washer breaks. UGH. I drag the washed laundry outside to hang up and end up soaked. Awesome.

I go change real quick before school.

After school I finally go to check out the basement. I find a sink broke down there and I fix it. And I thought I was done fixing things. Ha! The weird voice pops up again and tells me my handiness level is now at 3. I clean the counters and sink before going upstairs. 

When I get upstairs I get a delivery. A bottle of honey sold for $16 bringing our bank account up to $988. 

I decide to celebrate...

There's about only one thing Father and I still agree on. Animals. We're both animal lovers. I adopt us a kitty from the local shelter and name him Deanie. He's adorable! 

I buy Deanie a liter pan, toys, fill the food bowl and buy him a scratching post. It takes our bank account back down to $843, but I'm happy to spend it. I love our new kitty and want to spoil him when I can. 

Deanie and I take a nap then I do my homework. 

Day 3

After doing my homework, I see there's no meals in the fridge. I fix some mac n cheese for the first time and don't burn it! Yay! That weird voice tells me I've learned my cooking skill. 

I go upstairs and quickly clean the debris out of my room. I was tired of looking at it but I do wonder how it got there. I go to sleep. School comes too early.

I come home and find Deanie playing with his toy. So cute!! I also got on the honor roll at school!

Then I go outside and play the bills. Not cute! It costs me $139. Bank is down to $704 which is more than what we had when we got here, so..

Cruz followed me home from school. I don't know if that's creepy or...but it's nice to talk to someone for a bit. We also do our homework together. Then Cruz leaves for his job at the graveyard. 

I go outside and tend my little garden as the sun goes down. I take a second to realize how pretty our new town is. I was so used to seeing mostly sand that I never knew how pretty having so much green -age around me can be. 

I take a nap after gardening because...

It was time to fix the washer. I love getting soap suds in my hair! NOT! But it's fixed again. I catch up laundry since I can use the washer again.

I take Father to the elixir store so I can consign 2 apples, a tomato and one of the spotlight mushrooms I picked. I'm hoping the mushroom will bring a high price.

Day 4

I get up early and do laundry. 

When I walk into the main room and Father, Deanie and a ghost..reading a book? I haven't seen this one before but she's just reading quietly while Father stares at her. 

Deanie seems to be handling the ghosts better than Father. I love his mustache! 

  

Then a ghost fixes waffles. I almost cried. I am so not calling the Ghost busters on these ghosts. Nope. I don't even care if they make my toilet float once in a while. 

I go to school and get on the honor roll again. I'm pretty proud of myself given all that I'm juggling. I come home, clean, bathe, nap and do my homework.

 

I also clean out the cat pan. Ew. But my kitty boy is worth it. I get a delivery after that. One apple, the tomato and the mushroom sold. Bringing our bank back up to $862. The mushroom brought in the most, I was pretty happy about that. I can't wait until I figure out how to plant the one I have saved.

I clean some more and go to bed, as does Father. 

Day 5

The usual. Laundry, school. Etc.

I get my first harvests out of my garden! I'm probably more excited than I should be but I seem to have a knack for this. Father mentioned I might have a green thumb. I hope so. The weird voice tells me my gardening level is now at 3. 

Another delivery comes. My last apple sold and I also sell a snake that Deanie caught. Together it's $10 bucks and the bank account is now at $1, 217. 

 (Note. I don't know why, but my game replaced the ivy with trains. O_O. I fixed it but it gave me a little extra in the bank account. I'm not sure why it did this since I have them installed. :S)

Then it was a bath, nap and homework. I'm exciting, clearly.

Day 6

I bought a "Public Shower" and sold our bath tub. The Shower costs $400 but I'm able to get clean quicker so I think it's worth it. Plus it's easier for Father to use. I don't have to worry about him tripping over the bath tub. That takes the bank account back down to $1, 117.

Bills come - $142 so now our account is down to $900 even. I eat. I nap, do my homework. Garden. I'm a bored but busy girl. 

Day 7

I fix pancakes and I burn them...GRR. I was hoping I was passed burning things, but I was wrong on that. Still the weird voice tells me I'm now a level 2 in my cooking. The voice can shove it. 

Deanie liked the pancake batter at least. Of course that wasn't burnt, so..

I garden, which brings me up to level 4. Thanks weird voice. Thought I told you to shove it?

Deanie, my precious boy, gave me a bug. I took it to the science center and donated it. They gave me $782 for it! Deanie is for sure earning his kitty chow. The bank is now at $1, 682. 

I take Father to the elixir consignment store again. This time I go to harvest honey and get attacked by a swarm of bees. OW! OW! OW! Ugh. I still managed to clean the two hives and get honey out of the other one. 

I go inside to consign my stuff.

"Why are you covered in bee stings?" The guy behind the register asks me.

Geeeee, I wonder why I would be covered in bee stings?!

"I was born this way. Now about my stuff..." 

I consign 6 oranges, 10 apples, 4 tomatoes, 5 bottles of honey and 2 beeswax. 

I go home with Father and tend to my bee stings, before cleaning and going to sleep.
